What Meraki is all about

Our purpose is to inspire healthier lives by connecting people with wholesome and nourishing food.

We’re on a mission to improve your eating habits. Our goal is to revolutionise the way people think about fast food by providing convenient, healthy and nourishing food that tastes delicious and makes you feel good, without taking the time away from what is most important to you.

We know you're as busy as a juggling octopus. Meraki helps you keep your eye on the ball when it comes to maintaining healthy eating habits, with all meals chef-designed and nutritionist approved, ensuring you consistently get premium quality food that is quick and convenient.

Maintaining healthy eating habits when life gets busy can seem like a challenge when time is at a premium and with the demands of modern life. We believe that good food and eating well shouldn’t be part of a juggling act and that wholesome food should be within reach, to help you maintain a steady hand in the balancing act of life.

Jacquie Koschitzke, Founder of Meraki
Where it all started

Hi! My name is Jacquie, and I’m the founder of Meraki. I’d like to take this opportunity to share with you my healthy food business journey. I decided to follow this path in late 2017. Back then, I was working as a teacher. Although I enjoyed teaching, I wasn’t happy with my overall situation.

Before turning into what it is today, Meraki, which means doing something with love and passion, started as a Google document. I wrote down everything that makes me happy in this document. After listing several ideas, I realized they had one thing in common: food.

That’s when I decided to leave my stable teaching job to pursue my own food business. However, since I had no formal business plan or experience in this industry, I encountered a lot of hardships and challenges.

Everything changed after I decided to hire staff members for my business. By surrounding myself with passionate people, Meraki grew, and I was able to accomplish my 10-year goal for the business in just two years. Currently, Meraki is in the process of establishing a Kitchen Café, which would allow us to provide different food-related services and even culinary classes to the community.

Aside from the hardworking and skillful people behind it, one of the main factors behind Meraki’s success is my desire to do something that I love.

If Meraki were a feeling, it will be Hygge - a Danish word used when acknowledging a feeling or moment, whether alone or with friends, at home or out, ordinary or extraordinary as cost, charming or special.

Our mission, Vision, and Values

Our purpose is to inspire healthier lives by connecting people with wholesome and nourishing food.

Wholesome Living
We truly believe that good-wholesome, nutritious food makes for better lives. We live and breathe what we do, delving deep into the health and lifestyle benefits so we can be leaders in our community and provide products and knowledge to enrich the lives of others.

We live, work and connect within our local area, making community a central part of our story. We value the many facets of our community and nurture them with a unique personal touch.

Being open about what we do and how we operate (on both a business and personal level) invites our community to be a part of our story; to share, connect and converse with.
