Soothing Honey Cough Syrup
This gentle cough syrup recipe that you can make at home. It will help to soothe a cough in both children and adults and the addition of onion bring it’s anti inflammatory properties to the forefront.
How to make;
1. Place ½ a sliced onion into a clean 300ml jar
2. Cover with raw honey
3. Place lid on and leave for 12-hour or very gently heat the mixture until onions have softened and released their flavours into the syrup. Strain liquid and discard onions.
Give one teaspoon before bed to children 12 months +. Keep refrigerated.
